The only thing that worked for my daughter is head and shoulders. I used a soft scrub brush and scrubbed her head and was careful not to get it in her eyes. I used it 3 days in a row and hee cradle cap was almost 100% gone.

Once kids are 2 it is ok to use dandruff shampoo like we would. I've started using head and shoulders on my daughter and noticed a huge difference after a few washes, she barely had any dry flakes anymore. (We only wash hair once a week too)

My son had this when he was 9ish and we switched to Head and Shoulders or any dandruff shampoo. Only thing that helped.

Head & shoulders shampoo twice a week will clear it up. Just be careful it doesn't get in your little ones eyes.

I used the baby oil and comb method before, but actually I had better luck with Selsun Blue and massaging with a baby brush during bathing.

Happy Cappy has helped my babys scalp and skin a lot! I don't plan on using anything else until she's older. They also have one with oatmeal and aloe vera but I have not tried that one due to my oat allergy.

Vanicream sells a good free and clear shampoo. I think they've changed the name to 'sensitive', but it's the same formula. Always shampoo twice and only condition from the bottom of the ears down.

I had a dry scalp postpartum and what helped me the most was vanicream dandruff shampoo. It’s a pretty clean brand from what I’ve read.

  • s
    SK8NUR

Vanicream shampoo and body wash. My best friend is a dermatology nurse and this is the brand the doc she works for recommended. Plus, both I and my husband have super sensitive skin so I’m sure this little babe will get that gene too

  • n
    NenitaMama

Her pediatrician recommended Vanicream lotion, wash/shampoo, and hydrocortisone 1% for the patches.

  • a
    Ashdenea

So there is a brand that is completely free of parabens and alcohols and fragrance called Vanicream. I highly recommend it. It’s safe enough to even use on you’re breast if your breast feeding.
